Cartoon Art

I’ve been meaning to take on some readings on how to create a cartoon art in Photoshop ‘cause I find it cute to see hubby, son and me in a cartoon-like picture just like in a newspaper comic strip. It was fortunate for me to bump into a tutorial from the net on how to do it. However, while I’m on it already, the finished artwork did not match the final output in the tutorial. Hmmm, with so much thoughts and analyzing, I still can’t figure it out how and why? Still, here’s the piece of artwork I’ve made.

Picture was taken during the summer vacation at White Capes Beach Resort in Nasugbu, Batangas last 19 April 2008.

Software Used: Photoshop Elements 6

Mica Girl

I've downloaded a wonderful kit: "Peachy Keen" from Mandy Mystiques. I am so glad she's giving it for free and according to her, it will only be temporary...so grab it now while it's still free. You can download it from her website, just click the image.
and upon seeing the "Peachy Keen" Kit, I was inspired to do this scrap page for my niece--Mica. I gave her a gift of two dolls for her birthday as these are her birthday wish for her doll collections. Can't forget the BIG smile when i handed it to her.

My own pageheader

I can’t sleep last night after breastfeeding time and it gets me to the idea of creating my own blogpage header using digiscrap items which I have got from the freebies collection of various sites such as shabby princess, mandy mystiques and Angie Le Printemps Kit--Thanks to them! I immediately uploaded it this morning. Hubby says it's nice and kissed me after seeing the output :) yey!

My first Digiscrap Layout

I’m totally inspired by my newfound online friends at Girt Talk to do this layout. I’m thankful to know them ‘cause they are too helpful and generous/giving bunch: Sis Lovingsue, Baby_az, Gwacie, Lima, etc. They’ve directed me to several precious LINKS of freebies and tutorials for digiscrapping and I love it so much. Not to mention that this bunch have quite an awesome designs and layouts too. So, as I promise them, I have to start doing the first LO ;o) I’ve been planning to do a minialbum/photobook (naks, too ambitious!!) of hubby and AJ as my gift for Father’s Day on June 15 and this is just one of the few pages I’m planning to do, hopefully, I’ll be able to finish it on time. I'm also grateful to the egroups that I’ve joined in like Scrapbook-Exchange and Pinoy Scrapbookers, wherein you can find talented moms who are into scrapbooking--their layouts, designs and projects are really wow and so inspiring too.

Here's my Layout:
